Practical ReHack Tricks for Chronic Fatigue and the Path Out of Burnout

There is a thin, almost invisible line between chronic fatigue and burnout. Most people cross it without even noticing, only realizing where they are when the body completely shuts down. I invite you to look into your mirror—honestly and with compassion. Remember: it is okay to take time for yourself and put yourself first. The Body is Already Screaming – Chronic Fatigue Is your body in a state of constant energy depletion? The Key Difference: You still feel the “will.” Even though you are powerless, you “switch on” because you know you simply have to. Occasionally, you still feel joy and hope that “it will be better soon, once the holidays come.” Warning: This is a tap on the shoulder you must not ignore. Most people fail to stop the horses before the collapse—be the exception. Choose yourself. If you are “only” chronically fatigued, you can still change things before you drift deeper. With a bit more sleep, less caffeine, fewer expectations, and more connection with yourself. The Body Rebels – Burnout In addition to total physical exhaustion, emotional numbness appears. You feel as though you are drained to zero—like an old battery that can no longer be recharged. Burnout isn’t just a “poor lifestyle.” It is the result of long-term denial of your own needs, ignoring bodily signals, and an excessive outward focus—giving yourself away without a safe internal anchor. In the case of burnout, a vacation is no longer enough. At that point, you need a different way of being. Not just rest, but to stop running away from yourself.  A Client’s Experience “I outran myself. For a long time. I ignored the fatigue because I was ‘strong,’ because I had ‘work, people, obligations, a mission.’ My body was signaling, but I kept telling myself: ‘Later. Just this one thing, then that.’ When I fell—I fell hard. And only there, in the powerless silence, did I hear something very clear: ‘Now you go back to yourself. Truly slowly. Everything else can wait.’” Adrenal Fatigue according to Dr. Wilson (3 Phases)  Causes and Main Stressors Constant overwork or mobbing, financial difficulties, problematic relationships, unresolved trauma, illness in the family, death of loved ones, divorce, constant negative thinking, exposure to toxic substances, poor eating habits, use of stimulants, lack of movement or excessive exercise, certain medical conditions and pain (depression, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, diabetes). Bodily Warning Signs Fatigue, brain fog, decreased concentration, sleep issues, hair loss, hormonal imbalance, insulin resistance, mood swings, depression, irritability, rapid weight gain, food cravings (especially for sweets and salty snacks), loss of muscle and bone mass, decreased libido, dependence on alcohol or psychoactive substances, allergies, accumulation of belly fat, high blood pressure, dizziness, frequent colds and flu due to a weakened immune system.  Where to Start if You Are on the Edge? Communication ReHack: The Power of Connective Listening

Do you ever find that while the other person is still speaking, you’re already crafting the perfect response, solution, or winning advice in your head? On the outside, you might be nodding, but on the inside, you’re bursting with the urge to jump in and “fix it.” The result? Instead of closeness, tension arises, and instead of understanding, a sense of not being accepted. The truth is simple, yet often overlooked in a world of quick fixes:  Most people don’t need a solution. They just need to feel heard. Communication isn’t a competition about who is right. It’s a space where two truths can meet—without judgment, without fixing. Attentive Listening: The Deepest Form of Respect Listening without interrupting is one of the most beautiful gifts in a relationship that creates intimacy. What does this mean in practice? Just be. Present. Open. When you truly hear someone, you communicate without words: “You matter to me.” And often, that is exactly what melts the tension. Set Clear Expectations (Express Your Needs) Many conflicts arise because we expect our conversation partner to know what we need. But they don’t. So, before the conversation, say clearly: This creates safety and clarity. The other person knows their “role” and can relax instead of guessing.  The Finger-Pointing Trap: Switching from “YOU” to “I” In moments of distress, we quickly slip into blame: “You’re always like this,” or “You make me feel this way.” Such an approach immediately forces the other person into defense or counterattack. Try a more conscious approach instead: Speak about your own experience and your feelings. This doesn’t invite a fight; it opens the door to understanding. What is FRAP and Why to Avoid It FRAP is an acronym for four responses that (often unconsciously) break connection: Even though they stem from good intentions, they share a common message: “Something is wrong with you, and I know better.” This creates distance, not closeness. The solution? Before offering help, ask: 👉 “Do you want me to give you my opinion or advice?” This shows respect and allows for a choice. What NOT to Do Unless Asked When someone shares their vulnerability, avoid: Instead, use “bridge builders”: Your Next Step, If You Wish Communication isn’t something you “know” or “don’t know.” It is a practice. Awareness. Presence. Start today with one small test: 👉 Next time someone speaks to you, listen attentively to the end—without interrupting. You might be surprised by their reaction and your own experience of the conversation. Want to go deeper? If you feel like performing a ReHack of your communication patterns for more conscious and connected relationships, we invite you to experience our communication mentoring. You rush from one obligation to another, while frustration, tension, and a sense of powerlessness grow within you. Exhausted, angry, perhaps even scared or depressed, you feel trapped in a repeating vicious cycle. You believe that self-care is not for you—that the children, your partner, work, or the community must come first. It deserves more than just basic hygiene. Emotional Care: Communication that Heals From a young age, we are taught to suppress our emotions, which consequently leads to compensations—addictions to food, work, and more.
